Kannada actor Chethan Chandra faced a brutal attack by a gang of 20 people on Sunday night in Kaggalipura, Bengaluru. The incident occurred as Chethan and his mother were returning from a temple on Mother's Day.

Recalling the harrowing experience, Chethan went live on his Instagram handle shortly after the incident. He explained that an unknown, seemingly inebriated person first followed and damaged his car. "I sensed that the man was trying to rob, so I approached him regarding the car damage. In no time, a group of about 20 individuals, including a woman, gathered and began assaulting me," said Chethan.



Describing the ordeal as a bad experience, Chethan emphasized the need for justice in the matter. Following the attack, he promptly visited the nearby police station in Kaggalipura to file a complaint and received first aid at a nearby hospital.

While LIVE from the hospital on his Instagram handle, Chethan shared the extent of his injuries with his followers. " Look at what happened to me today. They attacked me severely and even broke my nose. I received initial treatment from the police. However, the gang responsible for the attack returned and damaged my car again. It's a terrible experience," he expressed.

Chethan Chandra, known for his role in the Kannada daily soap 'Sathyam Shivam Sundaram' as the lead, has also appeared in several Kannada movies. The incident has raised concerns about safety and security in Bengaluru, prompting discussions on ensuring the well-being of citizens, especially public figures.
