Seetha Vallabha, which returned to screens after a brief lockdown-induced hiatus, had recently celebrated two years of being on air. But the

team

’s joy was short-lived, as the

show

has been cancelled, with the last episode to be aired on August 15.

Supritha Sathyanarayan, who plays the lead on the show along with

Jagannath Chandrashekar

, is emotional about bidding adieu to her character, Gubbi, which also marked her TV debut. “We have a week’s shoot schedule pending and then it will be a wrap for the show. But I have already begun missing the team and being on the set of Seetha Vallabha. While I am not sure what prompted this decision, viewers will get to see a logical conclusion onscreen. I can never forget Gubbi’s character in my career, considering that it was my first foray on Kannada TV and gave me so much love and recognition from the people.”


While her TV show is set to conclude, Supritha is looking forward to start shooting for her debut movie Rahadari, which will mark her debut in Sandalwood. “It is a thriller subject, which I am eagerly waiting to shoot. I have been getting other offers for Kannada films, but because of the

pandemic

, I have not signed up for any, as I am unsure about when they can get started. In the meantime, I wouldn’t mind taking up something for TV, because, as far as I am concerned, it doesn’t matter whether I am on the small screen or big screen, as long as I get to entertain audiences,” she signs off.
