Exclusive: I play a jovial person who is dedicated to his lady love: Sameeip Acharyaa on his new show Kavyanjali 2

After playing a shady character in a popular daily soap 'Raksha Bandana', actor Sameeip Acharyaa is back with a brand new project in his kitty. The actor will be a part of an upcoming show 'Kavyanjali 2'.
In an exclusive chat with ETimes TV, the actor talks more about his new show and much more...
"Kavyanjali came to me right after the wrap up of Raksha Bandana.Although the makers had contacted me when Raksha Bandana was on running, I accepted it only after Raksha Bandana concluded it's journey on television," says the actor.
Talking about the show, the actor unveils about his on-screen character and shares, "I play the role of a jovial person who is dedicated to his lady love. She means the world to him and is more like a role model for the character I play. In short, it is a contrasting character of what I was playing in my previous show Raksha Bandana.''
Diving into the story, Sameeip clears that the upcoming season of Kavyanjali is nowhere connected with the premiere season.
"The upcoming season of Kavyanjali is no way connected to the premiere season. It is not a sequel or anything. The story is completely different and has its own essence in it. I know it was a hit back then but the upcoming season has a lot of fresh content in it. The show is surely going to take the audience for a roller coaster journey," he avers.
He adds saying, "Kavyanaji 2 revolves around a love story. But it also has the friendship quotient in it. Unlike many other shows that are shot in an urban zone, Kavyanjali is shot in Coorg, which is called the Scotland of India. So, there is a lot of authentic aspects of the location too. From the cinematography to the locations, it is going to be a magical treat for the viewers."
With the lockdown being imposed due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the TV shows and serial shoots have come to a halt and Kavyanjali is no exception.
"A week before the lockdown was imposed, we had shot for almost an episode of Kavyanajali 2. We shot the promo, title card, and everything. The show was supposed to premiere during the second week of April itself but by then lockdown was announced. Unfortunately, it has been postponed." shares the actor.
On a personal front, he continues to say, "I was completely prepared for my on-screen character. It was an entirely different zone for me because I had just started living my character. Everything was going on as per the plan. The team thought of taking a break for three days and then proceed with the shoot. Unfortunately, it came to a standstill because of the lockdown."
On the other hand, the actor is utilising the lockdown period to catch up with his interests.
"I have been able to catch up with things I have always been wanted to do during my busy schedule. I completed scripting for a web series and also prepped for marathons. It has been going on good as of now," he signs off.
