The Kannada film D/O Parvathamma was a project that its lead actress
Hariprriya was quite excited about. The film had her play a cop and do quite a bit of action as well, while also having her share screen space with
Sumalatha Ambareesh for the first time as a mother-daughter duo. But most importantly, the film directed by Shankar J, was her milestone 25th, which was the icing on the cake for her.
A female-centric film, Daughter of Parvathamma had Hariprriya in the role of investigative officer
Vaidehi ,who is investigating the murder of a doctor. The story was based on a true incident that happened in 2017. The on-screen chemistry of Sumalatha and Hariprriya received tremendous response from viewers.
Suraj Gowda and
Prabhu Mundkur won appreciation for their performances. Comedian Vishwa was also seen in a significant role in the movie.
The film, which had a favourable outing at the box office when it released, is now headed to the small screen and will get a TV premiere soon, we hear.
Meanwhile, Hariprriya who is one of the busiest actresses in Kannada, will be seen in upcoming films like Amruthamathi, Petromax, Lagaaam and the remake of Evaru, among others.
