Actor Manjunath once ruled the Kannada film industry as a child artist in the late '90s and won many hearts with on-screen characters. Having gained enormous popularity at a very tender age, the former child artist was away from the limelight for twenty-eight years now.

However, Manjunath made a comeback on television as a guest with the popular game show 'Genes'. In the recent episode of Genes,

Master Manjunath

graced the show along with former child artist Master Anand, who was equally popular among the viewers.

Although it was a fun-filled episode, Manjunath got quite emotional as he spoke about his relationship with late actor Shankar Nag and memories associated with his show 'Magudi Days'.

Manjunath took a stroll down memory lane and shared his experience on how the entire team of '

Malgudi days

' shot for the show in a place called Agumbe. He also stated how difficult it was for him to learn a language which he had never known earlier. He shared that he had to rehearse a lot on the dialogues as it was in Hindi and English to give his best during the take.

Known with the prefix ‘Master’, the latter also shared a warm, loving relationship with the late actor Shankar Nag. Stating that Malgudi days was one of the biggest dreams of the late actor, Manjunath shared that the entire team of the show worked really very hard to make the show a huge success.

The former child artist not only spoke about Malgudi days, but also shared about his bond with the late actor Shankar Nag. He got emotional when host Sushma asked him about the sudden death of Shankar Nag.

Manjunath's eyes got teary as he recalled the darkest day of his life, the untimely death of the legend. Manjunath shared that he could not get a last glimpse of the actor as he was shooting in Mauritius. Since there was a lack of transport facilities at that time, the actor shared that it was very difficult for him to get back to India in time. However, he stated that Shankar Nag's wife

Upon hearing these, host Sushma and the audience present on the shooting sets applauded Master Manjunath for his contribution to the industry.
