Kannada host-actress Anushree needs no introduction. From the early days of her career as a host in a local channel to becoming one of the most loved hosts on Kannada television, Anushree has come a long way. However, her journey to fame was not a cakewalk.
In a recent episode of a popular game show 'Genes', Anushree opened up about her initial struggling days.
The game show 'Genes', which is hosted by Sushma K Rao, is a show which showcases family bonding.
During the show, host Sushma surprised Anushree by giving her an envelope which had two hundred and fifty rupees inside it. Upon unveiling the envelope, Anushree got very emotional and revealed that it was the first ever payment she received in her life and preserved it carefully till date.
The actress further went down memory lane and shared that she had to struggle for every penny back then. Anushri mentioned how excited she was when she got her first payment for hosting a birthday event adding that her happiness knew no boundaries when she received the payment.
Anushree also shared how difficult it was for her to make ends meet in Bangalore with zero bank balance. She revealed that she sustained taking up part-time jobs like emceeing in birthday parties. She also elaborated on how she eventually started getting opportunities to showcase her talent across platforms.
Currently, Anushree is one of the highest paid Kannada anchors. She was also listed as the most desirable woman on Kannada TV 2019 by Bangalore Times.
On the work front, Anushri is currently seen hosting the music reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa season 17'.
