Geetha, starring actors Golden Star Ganesh, Prayaga Martin,
Shanvi Srivastava and Parvathy Arun, will be airing on television on Sunday at 4.30 pm. The film, which is directed by Vijay Nagendra, who marked his debut in Sandalwood, is co-produced by Ganesh's wife
Shilpa Ganesh.
The project, which is set against the backdrop of the Kannada language rights agitation of the 1980s, known as Gokak Chaluvali, has a romantic love story. The movie initially unfolds in Kolkata where Akash (Ganesh) is waiting to express his love towards Geetha (Prayaga Martin). However, Geetha gets engaged to another guy called Prem and during the engagement ceremony, Akash meets Priya (Shanvi Srivastava). Over a period of time, the bonding between the two strengthens and leads to Akash’s father opening up about his love story. In a sudden turn of events, Priya travels to the USA to pursue her Master's. Akash reunites with Geetha whose marriage gets cancelled.
The project also has
Sudharani, Ravishankar Gowda, Achyuth Kumar, Vishal Hegde,
