An engineer by profession, an actor by passion seems to be the mantra of some of the happening Kannada celebs. Having graduated as an engineer, these popular faces of Kannada television has followed their passion in being a successful actor. Here is a list of a few of them. Take a look

Fondly known as JK, the actor obtained an engineering degree from a prestigious college with a specialization in civil engineering. He later pursued Masters in structural engineering and worked in Dubai as a structural engineer before moving back to Bangalore.

The actor was still studying mechanical engineering when he entered the entertainment industry. Although he became the heartthrob of Kannada television within a short span of time, Chandan managed to graduate with flying colors.

Known for her tomboy attitude, Bhoomi also is a mechanical engineer. She started her acting career when she was pursuing her studies in a reputed college in Bangalore.

Aryan, completed his diploma in mechanics and then pursued his studies in BE mechanical engineering. He is much appreciated for his on-screen mythological character 'Male Madeshwara'.

This engineer quit a promising corporate career to pursue her acting dreams. Popularly known for her on-screen character 'Mythali, Supritha is presently seen in Kannada daily show ' Seetha Vallaba'.

The beauty pageant turned actress is currently pursuing engineering in Bangalore. Although she is juggling between studies and shoot, Sharanya seems to be enjoying it all together.

The Mithuna Rashi actor is yet another engineer turned actor. He holds a degree in Mechanical engineer. He made his acting debut with a popular serial Mithuna Rashi and plays the titular role of ' Mithun'.
