From co-stars turning housemates to performing tasks: Recap of Bigg Boss Kannada Mini season

Bigg Boss Kannada Mini season, which kick-started on a high note, is all set to conclude this weekend. The reality show which premiered right after the conclusion of Bigg Boss Kannada season 8 was no less dramatic and entertaining. While the Mini season will conclude its journey this week, here's a quick recap of the reality show.

Bigg Boss Kannada Mini season welcomed fifteen celebs who have been a part of various shows of the channel airing the show. These contestants lived inside the glasshouse for a week and experienced life inside the Bigg Boss house.

Host Akul Balaji entered the Bigg Boss house as the 'taskmaster'. Akul, who is also the former winner of Bigg Boss Kannada season 2 initiated the tasks that were assigned by Bigg Boss.

Unlike the usual format of Bigg Boss Kannada, the mini-season will not have any winner announced during the conclusion. The contestants were given timely tasks to earn points. The candidate with the highest points will be the best performer of the Mini season.

Nayana Nagaraj and Gagan Chinappa were seen engaged in a verbal spat during the 'Kaalaye Tasmaiye Namah' task. Nayana accused Gagan of foul play as he took the support of his hands to eat the bread which he was not supposed to do. Although Gagan claimed he did not attempt to take support, the other contestants also spoke against him. However, Akul also noticed Gagan cheating and disqualified him from the task.

Geetha serial fame Bhavya Gowda won the hearts of her housemates by preparing a delicious meal. As part of the best cook task, Bhavya opted to prepare lunch for the inmates. Bhavya decided to cook Paneer dum biryani, Chicken fry, and Chicken gravy for her housemates. Although she was a little hesitant, Akul Balaji and Bhavya's co-star Dhanush Gowda guided her while cooking. The actress had to complete the dishes within a time frame given by Bigg Boss. She tried her best and managed to complete the task on time.

Kiran showcased his dancing skills in one of the initial episodes of the reality show. Kiran hogged the limelight with some groovy moves. This was a part of the 'best dancer' task. The housemates cheered and hailed Kiran for his dance.

Ginirama actor Ritvvik turned a prankster inside the Bigg Boss house. The actor felt ambushed when the housemates questioned him about his session in the confession room. Spurred by their suspicions, Ritvvikk decides to prank them and acts as if he's on a secret task.

Niranjan Despande indeed falls prey to Ritvvik's prank. Ritvvik mentioned Niranjan's curiosity to know more about the secret task. Hence the boys came up with a plan. They decided to make Niranjan the target and play a prank on him which did turn out to be a success.

Gagan Chinappa spoke about the struggles he faced during the initial days of building his career. Having mentioned that he was not fluent in English, Gagan said he was rejected from a particular interview only for the same reason. However, he did take it as a challenge and managed to learn English within a span of two months and gave an interview in the same office for the second time. Speaking more about it, Gagan took a stroll down the memory lane and shared how impressed the authorities were in seeing a drastic change in him.

Task master Akul Balaji in the latest episode revealed that he initially did not want to be a part of Bigg Boss Kannada Mini season after the premiere episode. He mentioned that he was skeptical about continuing the reality show for the entire Mini season as he felt there was a huge age gap between the contestants and himself. Nevertheless, he also mentioned that he is glad that he accepted to be there for the entire season as he could witness and be a part of the contestant's short journey inside the glasshouse.
