Season 4 contestant and Kannada actor- host Kirik Keerthi, needs no introduction. The actor has been very vocal when it comes to his love for motherland and mother tongue.

As September 14th is observed as 'Hindi Diwas' in Hindi speaking states of India to celebrate the adoption of Hindi as one of the official languages of India, Keerthi took to his social media handle to share his opinion about the same.

Sharing his opinion on his Instagram handle, the ex-BB Kannada contestant questioned, "Celebrating Hindi Diwas is fine. No one is opposing it. But celebrate it only in the states of India where Hindi is their official language. Why do we have to celebrate here?" (sic)

The actor continued in his post saying, "If at all one wants to celebrate Hindi Diwas in all states, then celebrating

Kannada Rajyotsava

and the other special days related to the respective languages in different states across India also has to be celebrated nationwide. This would be fair enough". (sic)

Sharing his opinion, Keerthi concludes saying, "None of us are against celebrating Hindi Diwas. It needs to be understood that no one should forcibly influence others to celebrate the special day. No Language is greater than the other. What matters here is only the love for our Motherland and Mother tongue." (sic)

Meanwhile, on the work front, having bagged the runner up trophy in Bigg Boss Kannada Season 4, Keerthi returned to the small screen with the reality show for kids- 'Kannadada Kanmani'.

Keerthi loved his job and spent quality time with the participants. he even mentored and encouraged them to the fullest.
