Kannada actor Swaraj Shetty, who essayed the character Guruva in the blockbuster Kannada movie 'Kantara' , needs no introduction today. The actor has indeed won laurels for his on-screen character Guruva, who performs the Bhoota-Kola in the movie.

However, not many know that Swaraj Shetty has also been a part of Kannada television during the initial days of his acting career. Yes! The actor has been a part of popular daily soaps like Krishna Tulasi and Radha Kalyana

Swaraj Shetty made his Kananda TV debut with the daily soap Krishna Tulasi, where he played the role of the male protagonist. He essayed the titular role of Krishna in the show. Swaraj Shetty as Krishna, turned out to be a stunner for his rebellious nature in the daily soap.


Although Swaraj Shetty never had plans of making his television debut, he avers that it was his destiny that helped him bag the opportunity. He had acted in a few Kannada and Tulu movies before making his small-screen debut as an actor.

After Krishna Tulasi, Swaraj Shetty went on to act in yet another Kannada daily soap 'Radha Kalyana'. He essayed the role of a baddie in Radha Kalyana. However, his on-screen character was short-lived in the daily soap as the show even went off-air abruptly.
