Chandan Achar turns Kannada teacher for college students

Actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Chandan Achar’s love for

College recently. This was Chandan's first public appearance in Mysuru since his stint on

Addressing the student's community, Chandan said, “I am honoured to take part in this festival that celebrates the pride of Kannada language and the land. As we all know, Kannada is one of the oldest languages in our country, the onus is on students to ensure it thrives over the next hundred years.” Chandan went on to enthrall the gathering by singing

Karunadu along with them. He also recited few lines from writer

’s magnum opus Gadayauddha and requested the youngsters in attendance to explore the context of the lines. Chandan was later felicitated by the college authorities.

The Bahuroopi National Theatre Festival holds a special place in Chandan's life. “As a college student, I had covered the event for our news bulletin. Later, when I decided to become an actor, I began watching plays more seriously to develop my acting skills in me,” he says.
