Ravi, who is popularly known as Gym Ravi, has also expressed his displeasure over the government's apathy towards gym owners and fitness trainers, most of who have been left without a source of income for well over a year. Ravi states that it takes up to Rs 5 lakh to maintain a gym in Bengaluru, and with gyms shut, membership fee has stopped, which makes it difficult for owners to sustain the premises.. He has further requested the government to release a special package for gym owners.

After having acted in supporting roles in many years, Ravi is making his debut as a hero with the movie Purushothama, which he is also producing. About 90% of which has been completed, except songs, which will be shot once the government gives permission to resume shooting activities. A major portion of the movie has been shot in Mysuru.
