In the latest development surrounding Varthur Santhosh's arrest case, the Bigg Boss Kannada 10 contestant has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody. This decision came after Varthur Santhosh was produced before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) court in Koramangala, Bengaluru. After a meticulous examination of evidence and forensic reports, Santhosh's fate was sealed with a two-week judicial custody sentence in Parapana Agrahara jail, Bengaluru. Following the procedural protocols, Santhosh will undergo a day of quarantine in the jail before being transferred to his designated cell.

Varthur Santhosh, at the heart of this legal predicament, openly acknowledged during the proceedings that he had purchased the tiger-claw pendant three years ago from a dealer. He also stated that he had no knowledge of the pendant's origins and how the tiger claw was extracted.

Upon seizing the tiger-claw pendant, authorities took swift action, sending it to the Forensic Laboratory for a thorough analysis. Subsequent reports from the laboratory confirmed the presence of an actual tiger claw in the pendant.

Deputy Conservator of Forest Ravindra Kumar, while speaking to the media, explained the situation, saying, "It was a public complaint after he was seen wearing tiger claws. After the complaint, we went to inspect it in the Bigg Boss studio near Komaghatta and requested the authorities 'to hand over the locket. After some hesitation, they eventually agreed to hand it over to us.

The entire incident began when forest department officials launched a thorough inspection of the golden pendant, adhering to proper procedures to determine its authenticity as a genuine tiger claw. Varthur Santhosh's admission to acquiring the pendant three years ago and the subsequent confirmation of its contents led to his arrest at around 8:30 pm.

The offense is a clear violation of the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972, which provides strict protection for highly endangered species like tigers. The penalties for such violations can range from three to seven years of imprisonment.

Varthur Santhosh's arrest has made history in Bigg Boss Kannada as the first instance of a contestant being apprehended while inside the house. Prior to this, there have been no recorded incidents of this nature throughout the history of the Bigg Boss Kannada series.
