Bhavya Gowda joins list of actors turning to Telugu television

Kannada television sensation Bhavya Gowda, popular for portraying the titular role in Geetha, is set to mesmerise the Telugu small screen industry with her debut in serial Kalisunte Kaladu Sukkam. She will share screen space with Nikhil, also a Kannada actor. An elated Bhavya says, “The team waited for nearly four months to get my dates. The role is a bit different from theone in Geetha. When I discussed the character with my sister, she was equally delighted and that made me accept the offer. I play Pooja, a homely girl who wants everyone in the family happy. Compared to Geetha, the star cast in Telugu is bigger, so the focus keeps shifting.”Bhavya, who knows a bit of Telugu, is confident of pulling it off. “I can speak Telugu, so I can render the dialogues with ease. People are so warm and welcoming that it feels like working in our own industry. I am also trying to teach them Kannada because the Telugu industry has many Kannada actors.” The actress is also making her Sandalwood debut with Dear Kanmani, which has been delayed due to various reasons. The project sees her sharing screen space with Kishen Bilagali.
