B S Yediyurappa appreciates Mahabaratha

Karnataka chief minister B S Yediyurappa has appreciated the mythological show Mahabaratha which has captivated the viewers. The show is currently being aired from Monday to Saturday from 7 pm to 8.30 pm.
In a video aired by a Kannada general entertainment channel, B S Yediyurappa says, “Epic shows like Mahabaratha play an important role in disseminating values to the people.
Since the show went on air, I have become a great fan of Mahabaratha. I am very much impressed by Sri Krishna’s character in Mahabaratha. The words uttered by Sri Krishna can be inculcated in everyone’s life by the people of all age groups, to lead an idealistic life.”
Buoyed by the response from the viewers, Mahabharatha, which was aired for one hour, has been extended for an extra half hour. The popular Hindi series based on Mahabaratha by Vyasa, was first aired between 2013 to 2014. The serial has Saurbah Raj Jain, Shaheer Sheikh, Pooja Sharma, Aham Sharma, Aaravi Chowdhary and Arpit Rank in significant roles. The show is also having a re-run on Hindi television owing to the lockdown. It also became the second dubbed show to go on air on Kannada television.
The serial, directed by Siddharth Anand Kumar, Amarpith, Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kamal Monga and Loknath Pandey, is said to be made on a budget of Rs 100 crores and it took four years to do a thorough research before the shoot. The show begins with Bhishma convincing Satyavathi to marry his father Shanathanu.
