This week saw a lot of drama in anchor-actress Anushree’s life, after her name was linked to an ongoing drug probe in Mangaluru. Dancers Kishore Aman Shetty and Tarun allegedly said that she had attended their parties, which resulted in her being investigated by police.
On Thursday, reports claimed that the Mangaluru Central Crime Branch officers came to Bengaluru to give Anushree the notice to appear for interrogation.
While initially, Anushree denied receiving any such letter, she eventually confirmed the news at a press statement, where she said she was called for inquiry and that she would co-operate with the authorities.
She also appealed to the media to not use suggestive images and malign her. While Anushree was initially supposed to appear on Friday, she reached the CCB office only on Saturday at 11 am. It is said that Anushree drove to Mangaluru, and so got delayed. Reports suggest that Anushree stayed at a hotel overnight and was present on time for the inquiry session. She was interrogated by a team led by Mangaluru DCP Vinay Gaonkar.
The inquiry lasted around three and a half hours. While leaving the building, Anushree told the media, “The officers asked me questions related to the case being investigated and I have given them all the information they needed. If I am required to come back again, I will do that.”
She had previously said that she knew Kishore and Tarun only through a dance reality show, and had met them in Mangaluru during public events. She had denied being a part of any of their parties.
