‘I’ll have exciting news to share by year-end’Since our engagement in December last year, Saurabh and I have been maintaining a long-distance relationship really well (

). He is a software engineer in Toronto, Canada, and I’ve been here in India. We keep visiting each other now and then, but it has been tough. During this phase, I’ve realised that communication and understanding are the keys to making a relationship work.
As for when the wedding bells will ring, all I can say is that this year has brought a lot of happiness on our personal front, and we have been busy with a lot of planning. Hopefully, I’ll have some exciting news to share by the end of the year.

I wouldn’t say it was a conscious decision to keep away from acting, but I’m more of a ‘go with the flow’ kind of person. Whenever a good opportunity has come my way, I’ve considered it. If I can connect with the character, I am all in to explore the role. Having said that, I do hope to get a meaty role that can challenge me as an actor, especially in the digital space. There’s something fresh and intriguing about it that I’d like to experience.
-On whether being away from acting is a conscious choiceI started my career as a dancer, so I was sceptical about auditioning for Dil Dosti Dance. However, I was a big fan of the show, and that made me want to be a part of it. As time went on, acting naturally became my priority. I found myself enjoying the process of stepping into a character’s shoes and becoming a whole new person. Now I try to balance both acting and dancing because I love doing both.
-On her journey from being a dancer to actorToday, social media has evolved into a powerful tool that allows us to connect, share, and express ourselves in ways we couldn’t before. I don’t feel like an influencer, at least I don’t think like that, because the dance videos I create reflect my dedication and passion to bring unique content to my audience. Being active on social media is no longer just the need of the hour, it has become a big part of how we communicate and stay connected with each other

It’s truly remarkable that even eight years after Dil Dosti Dance wrapped up, there’s tremendous recall value – people still remember and recognise me as Sharon Rai Prakash. And what’s even more amazing is that I’ve had fans recognise me even in Canada. I feel thankful for having been a part of something that has left such a strong impression
-On the love her show Dil Dosti Dance is still receivingDancing has always been my passion, and it is lovely to see that dance reality shows are acknowledging dancers in that capacity. As of now, I don’t really see myself taking on that role, but then, never say never
