'Zindagi Ki Mehek' to end on August 31

, is all set to wrap up after a run of almost two years. The show, which launched in September 2016, will end on August 31.

While Samiksha Jaiswal, who plays the protagonist Mehek, didn't respond to our calls and text messages, Karan, who plays the male lead Shaurya on the show, confirmed that 'ZMK' is going off air. He told us, “I first heard about it on the set yesterday and checked with the producer, who confirmed that the show is ending in the last week of August. We have not been given any reason, though. However, I am happy that we have completed 500 episodes and are ending the show with good ratings.”

'ZKM' will be replaced by writer-turned-producer Ved Raj's new project titled 'Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega'. The show will mark Nishant Malkani's comeback on the small screen after almost seven years. He was last seen on the TV show '

Ram Milaayi Jodi

'. Actress Kanika Mann, who was last seen on 'Badho Bahu', will star opposite Nishant.
