Raksha Bandhan, the auspicious Hindu festival, honours the bond shared by brothers and sisters. The event is held every year in the month of Monsoon, and this year it will take place on August 30 and 31. As the season approaches, actress Yesha Rughani discusses her Rakhi preparations.
Yesha shared that this time she was unable to celebrate the festival with her brother because of her work schedule. Yesha stated that she lives with her sisters and she ties rakhi as they have always protected her through thick or thin.
Yesha added, “I have couriered the Rakhi to my brothers in London, Rajkot and Ahmedabad. Due to our work schedule, we couldn't plan a meet-up this time, so Rakhi will be a virtual affair this year. Raksha bandhan has always been very special for me and I remember that as kids we used to get so excited about the gifts and celebrations at home."
The actress also shared about her plans and how she will be celebrating her Raksha Bandhan with her brothers. Yesha said, “I live in Mumbai with my sisters and we tie rakhi to each other to celebrate our bond. ‘Raksha bandhan’ means a promise of protection and we have always had one another’s back through thick and thin. Not only sisters, we are best friends, travel partners, brothers and sometimes parents too, to each other. So, I have purchased a rakhi for my sisters and we are going to have a small celebration at home following lunch."
On a professional level, Yesha made her TV debut in Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey, and she has since appeared in Musakaan and the fantasy show Hero Gayab Mode. She is also well-known for her part in Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey.
