Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai written update, December 19, 2017: Kartik finally addresses Swarna as his mom

In the latest episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kartik and Naira pray for their parents to come together once again. Just when Manish and Swarna are about to get up after the havan, pandit asks them to wait. Naksh and Keerti tell the story of Shri Krishna's birth.
Swarna is able to relate to the performance and how she had also given up on her son at the time of his birth.Aryan (Shubham) gets furious at how Kartik and Naira tries to justify Swarna's decision of giving him up at the time of his birth.
Aryan then lashes out at his mother and says the family only showed his mother's side of the story but never presented how he felt. Aryan (Shubham) accuses Swarna of having sacrificed his life for her own self and wealth. Aryan says that he will never consider her his mother.
Aryan throws a utensil in anger and Kartik saves his mother from getting hurt. He gets angry and warns Shubham of saying anything wrong against his mother. Keerti, Naira and other family members are pleasantly surprised as Kartik accepts Swarna as his mother. Swarna is in tears of joy as Kartik touches her feet.

Kartik also addresses Swarna as his mom for the first time and he apologizes to her for everything.
Shubham (Aryan) leaves the place in a fit of rage. Kartik and Naira discuss how he wants his entire family to be together.
Keerti is also excited about how Kartik accepted Swarna as his mother. Naksh and Keerti help badi dadi walk and everyone prays that Manish comes for the party.
Swarna is dressed up for the party and waits for Manish to also come for the party. Dadi asks Kartik and Naira to be careful. Shubham arrives in the party wearing gaudy clothes and he says he had to come as his father will never come to the party.
