'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' written update 28th March: Poddars crash Disha's engagement

'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' opens with a rare moment of lightness between Arman and Abhira. Arman has ruined his white shirt with ink and taken it off when Abhira walks in. She offers to fix it with whitener. He tells her she is making it worse. She tells him it was already ruined. He asks her to leave or accept seeing him shirtless. She tells him he is not that handsome. He asks her to get out of his room. It is the kind of bickering that gives everything away about where these two actually stand with each other.Aryan brings Arman ice cream and asks why he demanded it at a time like this. Arman tells him that every time Aryan had an exam, he would bring ice cream, and now that Aryan is about to face the most important test of his life, he cannot do it without one either. The moment is warm and brotherly. Aryan mentions tooth sensitivity, and Arman turns it into a lighthearted moment, briefly promoting a remedy for it with completely straight-faced commitment.Disha is sitting through preparations for an engagement she does not want, quietly falling apart. Abhira comes up with a plan: infiltrate the engagement, find out everything about Gaurav's family, and expose the truth. The Poddars disguise themselves, with the men going in as waiters and the women as folk singers. The plan is precarious from the start. Disha's family immediately senses something familiar about the folk singers' faces. The Poddars try to stay out of direct sight, but Disha's father demands a performance from the singers, and Abhira is stuck. She pulls Arman, Madhav, Manoj, Krish, and Aryan in to help, and somehow they hold it together long enough to stay in the room.With everyone now scattered through the engagement venue, the investigation begins in earnest. Manisha and Kajal learn that Gaurav's mother, Shalini, wants Disha as a daughter-in-law primarily because she wants someone to run the house like a servant. Manoj and Madhav discover that Gaurav's father is interested in the marriage for Disha's family's property. Arman and Abhira find out the worst of it: Gaurav himself agreed to the engagement because he wants someone he can control.Meanwhile, Aryan pulls Disha aside and asks her to stand up for the love she knows is real. Abhira waits for a call from Myra that does not come. Arman worries quietly, noting that neither Mukti nor the matron has been in touch.As the engagement ceremony begins, Gaurav makes his demands clear: he wants dowry. Disha raises her voice against it, telling him plainly she will not accept this. Damyanti, trying to smooth things over, offers to provide the dowry anyway. Gaurav presses further, telling Disha she should be grateful he is doing her a favour by agreeing to marry her, and demands more. Arman and Abhira have heard enough. They step forward together and confront Gaurav physically. Disha's family turns to find the entire Poddar family standing in their engagement venue, disguises abandoned, ready to fight for Aryan and Disha.Precap: Arman confronts Myra about disappearing when Abhira was worried sick. Myra tells him to stop saying Abhira's name and announces she is walking away from both their lives. Arman turns to Abhira and tells her he feels like he is losing everything without Myra, asking her to hold him together. Abhira hugs him.
