The latest episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Abhimanyu and Neil not talking to each other and sharing cold shoulders. Akshara notices the silence and tries to normalise things. She makes Abhi and Neil understand and makes them reconcile.
At Goenkas, Manish reveals that Akshara has invited them to come for Shivu's birthday and Akhilesh reveals that Aarohi had also sent an invitation. They decide to go to the party as Manish feels that he needs to keep an eye on Aarohi so that she doesn't ruin their special day.
At Birlas', the guests ask Aarohi if she is Akshara's sister and she feels agitated. She speaks ill about Akshu and Manish stops her. Manjari welcomes them inside and Swarna gifts a gold chain to Shivu. Abhi gets a call and Aarohi overhears the conversation, she gets curious to know what is happening and tries to follow Abhi.
The guests share a ritual to know who will Akshara and Abhimanyu welcome as their little ones. They keep dolls in front of Shivu and ask him to choose between a girl and a boy, Shivu chooses the girl and the family rejoices with the news. Akshara is quite excited to plan their baby now.
Amid the celebration, Aarohi goes to search for the file and Abhi comes upstairs to send the reports. He sees the file in Aarohi's hand and asks her to give it back. She refuses to give and back answers him. While snatching the file and walking away Aarohi follows Abhi and his hands hit her mistakenly. Neil sees them and shouts at Abhi. Aarohi gets a chance to create a scene.
