Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, one of the beloved daily soaps on Hindi TV screens, recently underwent a significant transformation with the introduction of a new generation leap.
The show’s latest chapter will introduce new faces, Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami, who will take the lead space.
Meanwhile, fans have to bid goodbye to their favorites, Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod who played the role of Abhi and Akshara.But, it seems like the news is not settling well with the ardent fans of the show.

Fans in uproar over the generation leap
Recently, the makers dropped the new promo of the show introducing new characters. Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) speaks about her desire to continue the family legacy by pursuing a legal career in the same way that her mother Akshara did.
Later, Abhira is shown marrying Armaan. However, the head of the Poddar household didn't seem happy about this move, accusing the actress of ruining Armaan's life by getting married to him. The makers made sure to keep the audience hooked to the upcoming show, but fans are not pleased.

Netizens took to their X (Formerly Twitter) to share their displeasure with the move of removing Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod. A user wrote, "shut up of all gen 3 deaths this 8-second clip made me saddest," another said, "My life couldn't get worse & better at the same time. Fans are unhappy about the show replacing its former main actors. Some have even asked the creators to end the show if they don't have enough interesting stories and avoid dragging it out like other shows such as Gum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein.
Cast of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 4th gen. The post-leap story will start on November 6, 2023, according to the promotional materials. The new cast will include actors such as Shruti Ulfat, Shruti Rawat, Sandeep Rajora, Shivam Khajuria. Few old actors will also take the center stage in the upcoming show.
