Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the most popular shows on Indian television. The family drama premiered its first episode on January 12, 2009, and has managed to win the hearts of the viewers with its storyline, over the years. It is one of the longest running Hindi TV shows after CID. The show completes 10 glorious years today (January 12, 2019) and has a massive fan following. Actress Hina Khan rose to fame with her 'sanskari bahu' avatar in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She played the role of Akshara Singhania and soon became a household name. The actress has quit the show but her simplicity back then won hearts. Her traditional outfits, bindi, minimal makeup, and jewelry made her stand out.

Karan Mehra, who played the lead role of Naitik Singhania in Yeh Rishta, is also not a part of the show anymore. Naitik and Akshara's on-screen chemistry gained a lot of attention from the viewers.
