Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' 17th March 2026 written update: Myra stands frozen as Armaan puts the ring on Abhira's finger
A family gathering took a dramatic turn when Abhira's lack of sindoor and mangalsutra sparked a crisis. Damyanti insisted on a ritual, leading to Armaan placing a ring on Abhira's finger after a playful chase. The unexpected display deeply affected Myra, whose past trauma was triggered, causing her to flee and halt the engagement.
Tuesday's episode wasted no time getting into it. Manisha showed up with matching outfits for Abhira and Armaan, saying she had called her designer at the last minute to pull them together. Abhira pushed back right away, pointing out that her outfit already matched Armaan's and she had no desire to look like a coordinated pair with him. Armaan was equally unenthusiastic. The two went at it until Manisha had had enough, told them to figure it out later and reminded them that guests were already at the door. When the ceremony began, Damyanti asked Abhira to perform the tilak ritual for Aryan and Disha. Abhira stepped forward, but Damyanti caught her hand and stopped her. She wanted to know why Abhira was not wearing her sindoor or mangalsutra. Abhira said the sindoor gave her an allergy. Damyanti was not satisfied with that and brought up the mangalsutra, saying she had noticed it missing the previous day but had let it go since Abhira was unwell. Today was a different story.

The ring that changed everything

Abhira came up with an answer on the spot. She said Armaan had lost her mangalsutra. The room went still. Damyanti asked her to explain.
Abhira said Armaan had asked her to keep it safe but had failed to do so himself, which is why she was not wearing it. Disha's mother called the whole situation inauspicious, saying a married woman without her sindoor and mangalsutra was considered a bad omen. Abhira tried to redirect by suggesting Tanya step in to perform the ritual. Damyanti was firm. Only the elder daughter-in-law could do it.Damyanti then came up with a solution of her own. Armaan would put a ring on Abhira's finger to fulfil the ritual. Armaan said he had no ring. Kaveri quietly slipped the ring off her own finger and handed it to him, telling him that what belonged to Armaan also belonged to Abhira. Vidya stepped in before things could go further. She pulled Armaan and Abhira aside and told them to make sure they lost whatever game came next so the ritual could be avoided. Damyanti noticed the whispering and asked what was going on.Aryan stepped in to save the moment. He announced that Armaan had to chase Abhira, and if he caught her, he could put the ring on her finger. He warned everyone that if the game did not happen, his wedding would be called off. Neither Armaan nor Abhira had a way out. The chase began, and somewhere in the middle of it, both of them found themselves slipping into old memories. Armaan won. Damyanti asked him to complete the ritual. Vidya watched from the side with barely concealed irritation. Armaan put the ring on Abhira's finger.Myra walked in right in that moment. She had arrived quietly, looking forward to being part of Aryan's celebration. Nothing could have prepared her for what she saw. Armaan and Abhira together, the ring freshly on her finger, the entire family around them. It hit her all at once. Myra stood completely frozen.Precap: Myra's trauma gets triggered. Damyanti asks Abhira if Myra is her daughter. Myra escapes the venue. Armaan and Abhira run behind Myra. Damyanti announces that until Armaan, Abhira and Myra return, the engagement will not continue.
