Yeh Rishta actress Deblina Chatterjee to make an entry in Rakshabandhan

will enter the

TV

show Rakshabandhan Rasal Apne Bhai Ki Dhal. Deblina was last seen in Vignaharta Ganesh. She recently started shooting with Nishant Malkani. With the introduction of this new character, the show will again see new twists and turns.

Deblina said, "I am very excited because my entry has happened at a time when the show has completed 200 episodes. I am playing the role of Kanak's sister Kangana. I started my journey on TV with the show Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein. I played the lead role of Alia. I have been part of many shows like Balika Vadhu, Sasural Simar Ka, Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. In my last show Vighnaharta Ganesh, I played Goddess Lakshmi."

Deblina added, "My entry will focus on my relationship with my jiju, played by Nishant Malkani. Vaishali Thakkar and Nishant are supportive co-actors and it is nice working with them. My role will bring more drama to the show. The track will focus on how Nishant's character is irritated as I come to visit but since I am his sister-in-law, he has to follow the duties of a jiju."

Deblina is happy to be a part of television at a time when many shows are tackling certain social issues or they have a relevant message to offer. She said, "It's nice to see some shows on TV focussing on social issues, especially pertaining to women. It is interesting to see that slowly and gradually, we are coming up with interesting content."
