Talking about the entire incident, she said, “I received a call from an unknown number and the person said to me that I owe my dad 12,000 Rs. He said, ‘Unka number nahi lg raha hai or na hi gpay chal raha hai to kya mai apke account me 10,000 or 2000 karke 2 transactions kr du.’ I was busy at that time, so I said, okay you can do. First he asked me if I received 10,000, then he asked me if I received 2000. I told him that oh no you have sent 20,000 instead of 2000. So, he said please return me 18,000 on this gpay number. I suddenly sensed something fishy and disconnected the call. Post that, I contacted my parents and asked them if someone owed money to them and they refused. When I checked the message again carefully, I got to know that it wasn’t from the bank, in fact, it was from that person’s number only.”
