Why Omkar Kapoor opted out of his debut tv show

Omkar wasn't happy with his role
Looks like 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' actor Omkar Kapoor is not yet ready for his television debut. Omkar, who was finalised to play the lead in Ekta Kapoor’s show, 'Dil Hi

Toh Hain

', has apparently backed off from the project. Interestingly, when BT spoke to him a few days ago, he sounded excited about portraying the character essayed by Shah Rukh Khan in '

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

', as the show is inspired by the Bollywood hit.
He had said, “I am so happy that Ektaji has chosen me. This role will be a big opportunity for me. And though I am doing television, I will always pursue a career in Bollywood.”

Omkar

later had second thoughts, as he had to play a father on the show. Seems, he did not even report on the sets to shoot for the promo. When asked about it, he said, “I don’t want to comment on anything. I am still in talks with the makers, so nothing is confirmed.”

Meanwhile...
Karan Kundra has been finalised to play the titular role on the show.
