Who’s India’s next big comedy creator?

Three months ago, comedy collective 'All India Bakchod' and the duo known for their Pretentious Movie Reviews, Kanan Gill and Biswa Kalyan Rath, joined forces to mentor and find India’s next big comedy creator on YouTube in a contest titled 'Comedy Hunt'.
About 700 hopefuls from across the country and cities like Surat, Bhopal, Vellore and Patiala, applied and uploaded videos in the form of spoofs, blogs, parodies, sketches and more.
The mentors picked their top 40 who were put through seven challenges and eliminations. The contestants wrote, directed, acted in, edited and uploaded their videos every week and were guided through every challenge by comedy creators like Aditi Mittal, East India Comedy, SNG Comedy, Abish Mathew, Kenneth Sebastian, Shudh Desi Endings and even the stars of Katti Batti, Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut.

On September 30, the contest will come to an end with a dazzling finale hosted by All India Bakchod at NCPA’s Tata Theatre in Mumbai where Kanan Gill and Biswa Kalyan Rath, SNG Comedy, East India Comedy and Abish Mathew will perform along with the top five finalists. A winner will be crowned who will win brand contracts, equipment to make videos and more.
This show was an instant sell to major brands who wanted to connect with the youth of India. It has Quikr as the title sponsor followed by Micromax Mobile, while Garnier Men, Cadbury 5 Star and Royal Challenge Sports drink were associate sponsors.
