Who is Sheezan Khan, the Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabul actor arrested in ex girlfriend Tunisha Sharma's abetment to suicide case

Tunisha Sharma, who played Shehzaadi Mariam in TV show Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul, died by suicide on December 24. Tunisha's co-star Sheezan Khan was arrested, when her mother filed a charge of abetment to suicide against him. Here's everything about the actor Sheezan Khan who is currently under police custody:

Sheezan Khan was born in September 1994 and raised in Mumbai, where he acquired a degree from the University of Mumbai. Sheezan in addition, is a fitness enthusiast, a frequent TEDx speaker and a pet lover. Talking about his family the actor shared in his TEDx talk that his father passed away when he was young and since then the actor has been self-made. His sisters Shafaq Naaz and Falaq Naaz are both actresses.

Sheezan, like his elder sisters, has become a well-known face in the television industry. He made his acting debut in the historical television drama Jodha Akbar, playing the part of young Akbar. Following that, he appeared in a number of daily soaps, including Chandra Nandini, Silsila Pyaar Ka, Prithvi- Itihaas Bhi, and Rahasya Bhi. His roles as Arjun Priya in Tara From Satara and Raghav in Ek Thi Rani Ek Tha Raavan catapulted him to stardom. Following that, he was cast in the lead role in Nazar 2. He is now starring as Alibaba Sab TV's Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul.

According to reports, Sheezan was earlier dating Kundali Bhagya actress Mrinal K Singh. There wasn't any reason revealed for their separation. Later, Sheezan was in a relationship with Alibaba co-actress Tunisha Sharma and they recently broke up before the actress died by suicide.

Tunisha Sharma's death has caused a stir in the Industry, the 20-year-old actress hanged herself in ex-boyfriend Sheezan Khan's green room washroom on the sets of her show Alibaba: Dastaan-e-Kabul. The actress was rushed to the hospital but was declared 'brought dead'.

On 24th December, Tunisha's mother Vinita Sharma filed a complaint against Sheezan Khan for alleged abetment in her suicide. She even gave her statement to the media and accused Sheezan of cheating and using her daughter. She said, “Sheezan was in a relationship with another girl while he was dating Tunisha. Not only that but Sheezan had also promised Tunisha of marriage and then broke up with her. Even after being involved with another girl, he used Tunisha for 3 to 4 months and even after their break up he kept Tunisha in a loop.” Sheezan was then arrested and held in police custody for interrogation till December 28.

Shafaq and Falaq Naaz took to their social media handles and issued an official statement on the case. The sisters mentioned that they would request everyone to respect their privacy till there is no official hearing on the case.

The statement read, "To everyone who's been trying to reach out to us for a statement on the case- please allow our family privacy in this grave situation. It's upsetting to see the members of the media constantly calling us and even standing below our apartment buildings. We have full faith in the Indian judiciary system, and Sheezan is cooperating with the Mumbai police through all the procedures. We will talk about this when the time is right, but for now, please allow us the privacy that our family deserves right now."

During his first day of police custody, Sheezan informed Waliv police that he ended his relationship with Tunisha after considering the repercussions of the Shraddha Walkar case, and that belonging to a different religion, as well as their age difference, stood in their way.

With the recent update, the police officials stated that Sheezan's statements have frequently changed. According to the latest report, the Waliv police department stated that he is yet to provide a clear reason for his breakup with Tunisha.

According to the ANI reports, the police officer quoted "Sheezan has been in police custody for the last two days and we are continuously interrogating the accused. When the lady police officer of Waliv police station reached to interrogate the accused, he started crying. For two consecutive days, he kept on narrating different theories for breaking up with Tunisha but when a woman officer questioned him, he started crying. Whatever inquiry is being done on the basis of the family's allegations. Sheezan has denied the existence of any other girl in his life."
