While the makers are yet to announce the upcoming season, speculation about rumoured contestants joining the show has already started doing the rounds in the media. Reports suggest that sitarist Bhagirath Bhatt has been approached as the first contestant for Bigg Boss Season 20.

Bhagirath Bhatt was born on May 31, 1991, in Jamnagar, Gujarat, and comes from a musical family. The renowned sitar player, classical musician, and composer has showcased his talent in several films. His work is not limited to India; he has also worked internationally, including in Hollywood.
He began learning the sitar at the age of six. He started his musical journey under the guidance of his father, Pankajkumar Bhatt. Later, he got professional training in music at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, where he also won a Gold Medal.
Bhagirath is active on social media but prefers to keep his personal life under wraps. Bhagirath has 55K followers on Instagram and has shared more than 900 posts so far. He has mostly stayed away from the spotlight and lets his sitar and music take the centre stage.
The music genius has worked on several popular Bollywood projects such as Padmaavat, Malaal, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Border 2, Heeramandi, Qala, Kota Factory 2, Gullak, Jubilee, and Bandish Bandits, among others. Apart from Indian films and shows, Bhagirath has also contributed to the background score of Avatar: The Last Airbender and the 2014 Hollywood project The American Gandhi.
The well-known sitar player has collaborated with some of the gems of the industry like Pandit Birju Maharaj, AR Rahman, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Ajay-Atul to name a few. He was recently honoured with an honorary doctorate from Dunster Business School in Switzerland in recognition of his outstanding contribution to classical music.
