What I do in my personal life is not anyone's business: Taarak Mehta's Bapu ji aka Amit Bhatt
Amit Bhatt, who plays the role of Bapuji in Taarak Ka Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is quite vocal about his thoughts on social media. The actor shares how some netizens have a lot of time on hand and do not think twice before commenting on an actor's physical appearance.
Amit says, "My social media account is more personal. Some youngsters are busy making reels and posing questions to actors everyday. I am an actor and I am focussed on my work. I don't appreciate when they comment on my teeth or my physical appearance."
The actor further shares how he is not answerable to anyone about what he eats or how he spends time in his personal life. He says, "I was holidaying with my wife and posted a video. That's when someone started passing some negative comments. People don't understand that this is Amit Bhatt's social media account and not my character Champaklal Gada's account. What I do at home, or on my holiday is not anyone's business. I am free to do anything in my personal life or post holiday pictures on my social media account."
Amit has been playing the role of Champaklal for the last 15 years now. He said, "I enjoy playing a man older than my real age. I have no problems because people have connected with my character for years now. It's a challenge to play a much older man." Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest running TV shows and people have connected with Amit's character and his comic timing.

Its really challanging to play a character much elder than the actor’s age.. You have done a fabulous job and we enjoy your acting.. Just ignore the negativity.. It’s none of anyone’s business whether you eat Gutka or Rasgulla; there should be a limit to peep into someone’s life.. Keep acting and keep spreading smiles..Read allPost comment
