Abrar Qazi, who is currently seen in Yeh Hai Chahatein, believes that actors must get a weekly off. He says gruelling hours of shooting can get taxing and everyone needs a day's break in a week.
Sharing his thoughts, Abrar says, "Earlier we used to get an off and would shoot 6 days a week. But, in the past few months, we have started shooting all days in a week because fiction shows are now telecast even on weekends. I don't get time to do anything else. Forget visiting my family in
Kashmir, I can't even finish some personal work, meet friends or just relax and sleep at home. I am waiting to get back to the 6-day work schedule."
Abrar adds, "Today I am at home because the track was focussing on other actors and did not require me to shoot. But lead actors are required mostly in all the tracks, so there is no respite. Actors also need some time off to rejuvenate and renew our energies so that we can work better."
Abrar's show is taking a 20-year leap and he will be seen playing Rudra's son post leap. "I am waiting for viewers' reaction to my new look and character in the show. Sargun Kaur Luthra has also been given a new look." Yeh Hai Chahatein started three years ago and continues to connect with viewers. Abrar used to play Rudra, but now he is playing his son in the show. Rudra and Preesha's characters are dead and new characters have taken over.
