Wedding sequences on TV are no more grand unlike the earlier times, says Reena Kapoor

). Unlike eartliers times, when the

wedding scenes

on TV used to be all about grandeur and huge crowd, this time, due to the coronavirus pandemic, things are not the same anymore.

in the show tells us, " Earlier wedding scenes used to be extremely grand with beautiful decorations, expensive dresses, elaborate jewellery and big gathering. It used to be a lot of fun and frolic on the sets because in such scenes the entire cast is present, including the ones we haven't shot with for a long time. So it used to be more of a get together than just the shoot itself. The shows would have various pre-wedding functions like mehndi, haldi, sangeet, etc."

She further adds, "It is not the same anymore. The world is dealing with the coronavirus pandemic and our country is one of the worst-hit countries in the world. In order to contain the spread of coronavirus, we shot with less number of people. The decoration was kept minimal and limited to immediate family. There were no more discussions on how each one was looking, as everybody looked simple due to the scarcity of clothes and jewellery. To top it all, the wedding was done outdoor in the scorching heat. The temperature was very high. It was a big challenge for all of us to keep the makeup intact and look fresh for each scene."
