We have named our baby girl Veruzeh: Viraf Patell

Actor-couple Viraf Patell and Salonie Patel, who became parents in September to a baby girl, have named her Veruzeh. The actor shared how they had been hunting on names for a long time now.

Viraf said, "We have decided to call our beautiful baby girl Veruzeh. The name is derived from a Persian word, it means triumphant. We are very happy and excited to finally find a nice name for our daughter. She is already 3 months old and we are enjoying our time with the little one."

Viraf, who was last seen in the film Maharaj and Kutch Express in an earlier interview, said, "I always wanted a daughter...I am ecstatic. When I held my little girl, it felt like she touched my soul. My dad was exactly the same age as I was when my baby was born. I do feel that in some way my child and my late father are connected."

Salonie, who was last seen in the show Khalbali Records, said, "The baby has my complete focus now. I have forgotten about everything else and am just happy to hold her and make her sleep next to me. I plan to take a break for few months before I can get back to work." Viraf and Salonie got married three years ago.

Viraf has already started shooting for a new project with Manasi Parekh Gohil. The actor was also seen in Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan. Viraf has also been part of TV shows like Naamkarann and Ek Boond Ishq.
