recently burst into tears while remembering his former co-judge
Sonali Bendre on the show.
A bunch of contestants during the show performed an act on a cancer survivor. The act showed contestant Deepali Borkar, playing a cancer patient who is a dancer and it revolved around her fight with the disease. It showed how she fights back with cancer and emerges victorious. The act was very emotional and left everyone teary eyed, including judges
Huma Qureshi and
Omung Kumar.
However, Vivek was the most affected one as he couldn't control his emotions. He later stated that the act reminded him of Sonali Bendre who has been his co-judge since season one. He called her as his friend and co-judge. He further added that he was missing her a lot and prays everyday for her well-being. He also urged fans and viewers watching the show to pray for Sonali for her well being.
Sonali was part of India's Best Dramebaaz and even shot for few audition episodes. But the actress had to quit the TV show mid-way as she was detected with cancer. The actress is currently in New York for her treatment with her family besides her.
