'.The year 2021 saw its share of pain and grief, with the second wave of COVID-19 giving people a distressing time. But as the year progressed, people saw a ray of sunshine with vaccinations in place and life limping back to normalcy. But just as we thought that 2022 would bring back the joy that we’d lost, the new variant is here. But that hasn’t deterred the spirit of our celebrities, who list down their wish list for the New Year. They also share the things they want to forget from 2021 and what they are looking forward to in 2022...
One thing you look forward to in 2022: Travelling more. I want to travel to at least one country every month. I really need to tick off a lot of places on my bucket list.
One thing you’d rather forget: This whole COVID-19 situation
One thing you have on your wish list, professionally: Do one period film, decked up nicely as an ancient princess.
One thing you look forward to in 2022: The challenges, maybe? Every year life has been throwing up new challenges and it has been exciting to cope up with them. I don’t think 2022 is going to be any different. So, I am actually kind of looking forward to challenges this year.
One thing you’d rather forget: I usually don’t like to forget things, I always remember them. It is not probably not good for the long run, but that’s ok.
One thing you have on your wish list, professionally: A film like Michael has always been on my wish list for the longest time. The fact that I am able to start the film in 2021 and continue working on it this year feels nice.
One thing you look forward to in 2022: I have chosen a word for myself; not resolutions, but clarity. I was focussed last time and because of it, I got a lot of things. But now, I want clarity in what I have chosen to do.
One thing you’d rather forget: The loss of all the people owing to COVID-19 and other reasons. It really affected me. They were people who were really close to my heart and the sudden disappearance of them in my life left a vacuum. I wish it had not occured, but if there is a chance to forget it, I would choose that.
One thing you have on your wish list, professionally: The publishing of my first book authored by me. I have finished and completed my course as a health coach. This year, I want to practise it. Next, I am entering the Telugu film industry as an actor. I am really looking forward to it.
One thing you look forward to in 2022: Looking forward to a lot of positivity personally, professionally, and for the world as a whole. The last two years have been pretty low for everyone. I want all of that to change and make our world happy again with people being able to meet, sit, talk, laugh, and spend time together.
One thing you’d rather forget: I would definitely want to forget the tough times we all went through because of the pandemic.
One thing you have on your wish list, professionally: I want to work, work and do more work to make up for all the time I lost in these two years because of the pandemic.
One thing you look forward to in 2022: This year, I have a few targets to finish professionally and personally. While the current situation isn’t exactly working in my favour, I hope to achieve it this year.
One thing you’d rather forget: All bitter and sad things that happened last year... well, I’d like to forget those.
One thing you have on your wish list, professionally: I would like to expand my horizon in the movie industry, venture into direction. If the script and stars align, I would love to work with Sivakarthikeyan.
One thing you look forward to in 2022: I look forward to getting more interesting scripts and giving a hit film this year. Metro changed my life and I want the next hit film to be in 2022.
One thing you’d rather forget: COVID-19 brought about a lot of bad things, especially the second wave. I really want to forget the bad things and move ahead in life.
One thing you have on your wish list, professionally: I have always been shooting for my projects only in Tamil Nadu. But I want to shoot in the north of India or outside India. I really want to experience shooting outside a place I am not familiar with, and work with crew members of that particular city/country.
One thing you look forward to in 2022: Working a lot more without taking any rest. I am looking forward to the new film that I am currently shooting for and possibly coming out in the theatres in 2022.
One thing you’d rather forget: When COVID wave hit, cinema was the first thing that was affected the most. With shoots cancelled, releases postponed, I really think I should forget all that and hope for a better start.
One thing you have on your wish list, professionally: I want to do something in the music space, like beginning to work with some of my favourite artistes, this year.
One thing you look forward to in 2022: I looking forward to working more and doing more films. I am also want to continue learning to play the piano, which I left halfway last year.
One thing you’d rather forget: Hmm... my body image issues. I want to focus more on maintaining a consistently healthy lifestyle.
One thing you have on your wish list, professionally: I’ve picked up Telugu. But I want to be fluent in Tamil and Malayalam, too.
