Actors go beyond their limits to make the scene look real any get into the skin of their characters. Sometimes they get hurt while enacting a scene. Something similar happened on sets of Life OK’s show ‘Ghulaam’.
Vikkas Manaktala
, who is seen playing the negative lead ‘Veer’ did something unbelievable while shooting an important sequence for his show. To make the scene look authentic the actor got whipped for real.There was a scene in the script where he had to hit himself with a whip, where Veer is venting out his anger by punishing himself and
Vikkas did it with full force being in the character to experience the real pain. Everyone on the sets was scared listening to the whoof sound the whip was making.
Vikkas now has bruises all over his body. “The passion for work supersedes all the pain that one goes through to make sure a scene comes out exceptional and so it was worth going through all the pain seeing those bruises as the scene came out well.” he said.
Being a
method actor
, he got into the skin of the character of Veer – the wrestler of Beharampur. He shot in spite of the pain and completed all his scenes. He said his tolerance level is very high and though the pain is bad he feels the show must go on.
