Vikas Sethi's friend and co-actor Kiran Janjani: Vikas called me last week... I wish we had met
Actor Vikas Sethi (48) passed away on Sunday morning due to a cardiac arrest. This has left everyone in shock. His friend Kiran Janjani, who acted with him in the film Oops, is saddened and shocked to hear about his demise. Kiran says, "I am currently in London. When I got the news, I had goosebumps. I still can't believe it... I don't know what to say."
The two bonded well since the time they met many years ago, shares Kiran. "Vikas and I go a long way. We met in Bangkok in 2000 as we were shooting for an advertisement together. We got along well. He got me into fitness and motivated me to get fitter. Vikas literally held my hand and took me to the gym and since then we used to work out together. That's when Deepak Tijori spotted us together and we did the film Oops in 2003. While he got me into fitness, I taught him dancing."
He adds, "After that, we both did Nach Baliye with our respective partners. He has been like my elder brother. At my wedding, he was there as the most important person. Over the years, we were in touch on and off over the phone but I just regret not meeting him one last time."
Kiran was in India last week. He says, "I got a call from him last week when I was in Mumbai. He wanted to meet and go out for a family dinner. I couldn't meet him and I regret it. He had also planned to come to London at some point this year and meet me there. What has happened is very very upsetting."
He further shares, "I did speak to his wife and elder brother, they too are totally in shock."
