“It was roughly over a week and we had a lot of places to cover. The most important part however was the low oxygen saturation at high altitudes which friends, family and finally the locals had repeatedly cautioned us about when we reached and started moving about. So we had a lot of fun but we also to endure some massive traffic jams along the route.
I joined an entirely random and fun group of tourists from Gujarat who were performing the garba on the road whilst waiting for the jam to clear up. We however ended up with less time for Pangong Lake."
There were other experiences too. She narrates, "On our way to Leh, we got stuck in a puddle and it took several hours to free the vehicle. The awesome surroundings more than compensated for our troubles but the weather was a bit extreme and I got winter burns on my cheeks that reddened me throughout the trip."
