Varun Sethi-Shefali Sharma admit to their wedding

A few weeks ago, we had told you about Shefali Sharma, better known as Bani from Bani — IshqDaKalma, tying the knot with actor VarunSethi (he was the creative supervisor of her show) on September 3.
Though the couple had denied the news back then, they have finally decided to come out in the open about it. In fact, they will be hosting a reception for their friends in the city today.
Why did they hide their marriage? “It’s a personal affair. We are shy and private people. Also, Shefali has signed a new show and it’s often difficult for the viewers to accept a married actress or actor,” says Varun.

Shefali agrees, “It was a personal thing and we didn’t want it to be highlighted. It was a low-key affair.” About her honeymoon plans, she replies, “I will soon start shooting for a daily soap, so there is no time for a honeymoon. But we will plan some-thing soon.”
So, how did their love story start? Varun recalls, “It may sound strange, but I had rejected Shefali during her first audition as Bani. I had then said ‘Yeh meri Bani nahi ho sakti’. However, the production house was adamant that they wanted her for the part. So, we did another round of auditions and she got through. Imagine me sitting behind the monitor and guiding her through her romantic scenes with her co-actors!”
