Vardhaan Puri, who was set to commence shooting for a film in Nepal from October 1, says that the schedule has now been stalled due to the political unrest in the country. The actor, who had visited Nepal in July last year, says, “My trip to Nepal in 2024 was extremely joyous. I have travelled across the world, but this was one of the most memorable ones. The people were kind and welcoming. There’s something so peaceful about the place and it breaks my heart to see what’s happening there currently.”
Vardhaan had visited Nepal for work and leisure. He’d been invited by
Manisha Koirala, who hails from the country. “She was the perfect host. The love she gets there is immense; she’s called the daughter of Nepal,” Vardhaan recalls.
On his now-delayed project, Vardhaan shares, “We were supposed to start the shoot from October 1, but now we have pushed it ahead. This is one of those projects that cannot be shot anywhere else. The producer is from France, the cast is Indian, and I’m leading the film. I hope to start the shoot in Nepal soon. I feel connected to the place and people. We will see the political scenario and then decide when to resume.”
