Upen Patel turns down an offer to play Greek God

A leading general entertainment channel, that has aired a few trend setting mythological and supernatural shows in the past, approached the good-looking actor Upen Patel to play a Greek God in their upcoming big budget project. The show will go on air from next month.

Usually playing flamboyant roles in his Bollywood outings, Upen raised the glam quotient with several television stints last year from a dance reality show to anchoring a youth show and surprising the audiences with his fluent Hindi, which helped him connect with his TV fans. But now, a source informs us, that apparently Upen has turned down the mythological show on a leading channel.

When contacted the actor revealed, “I am always open to television as it is a huge platform and would love to anchor a show or play a die-hard romantic. I couldn’t undertake the project due to date issues but I am grateful to the production house and the channel for the offer. I cannot share anymore details on this as it will be unfair to the makers.”
