Upasana Singh reacts to rumours of rift with Kapil Sharma; says 'If he ever needs me on the show...'
Upasana Singh is known for playing some memorable characters in Bollywood films and shows like Comedy Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. The seasoned actress recently reacted to rumours of a rift with Kapil Sharma. In an exclusive interview with IANS, Upasana broke her silence on her absence from the comedy show. She has addressed the fallout rumours with Kapil Sharma and clarified that there was never any problems between her and comedian Kapil Sharma.
In a conversation with IANS, Upasana stated that she considers Kapil like a younger brother and dismissed rumours of any animosity.
She shared, “For me, Kapil is still like my younger brother. We talk to each other and share a good bond. If he ever needs me on the show and if I like the character , I would surely go."
Talking about her time on CNW and TKSS, the actress said that the shows remained at the top of the TRP charts for almost two and a half years. She recalled, “People enjoyed my character a lot. I became Jag Bua and later Pinky Bua, and both were loved by the audience."
When asked if she plans to return to Kapil’s show, Upasana responded saying that she was open to returning to the show, but only if she was given a significant role.
She further explained that when Kapil moved to another channel and offered her a role again, she returned for a short time. However, the partnership did not work out creatively.
“Kapil was extremely busy with his film commitments at that time and did not have the time to work on the detailing of my character. Because of that, it didn’t fully satisfy me as an actor,” she said.
The actress mentioned in the interview that she doesn't regret and she feels satisfied about moving ahead in life.
“Whatever God has written for me, that is what I will do,” she said. Upasna is currently happy focusing on her film projects. The actress concluded by wishing Kapil Sharma and his entire team continued success.
