Actor Vaquar Shaikh, who is making his Bollywood debut with Sarbjit, had to beef up to play the part of a Pakistani jailor, Aftab Aalam, who is in charge of the prison where Sarbjit (played by Randeep Hooda) was kept. He quips, “If Randeep had to lose a considerable amount of weight, I had put on seven kilos to look the part. My character is that of a hardliner, and like everyone else in his country, he also thinks that Sarbjit is a terrorist. However, he develops a bond with him towards the end. I will be shown ageing in the film.”
The actor is now in the process of shedding the weight he gained for the film. “I am not in a hurry; I have lost some already and have to lose three kilos more,” he says.
