Unhappy with role to being ousted overnight: When celebs like Anushka Sen, Neha Mehta's exit stirred headlines

A sudden exit by the audience's favourite actor from the show leaves everyone shattered and puzzled. Recently, Paras Arora put down his papers from the show, Kaatelal & Sons' as he wasn't happy with the way his character was shaping up. Paras Arora played the role of Dr. Pramod and was paired opposite Jiya Shankar, has quit the show. The actor reasoned that his career graph was not satisfactory and he was mentally stressed too. In an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, Paras said, "I was not satisfied with the character graph and my dates were not used properly by the makers. Actually, I had made up my mind before the lockdown but as the lockdown was suddenly announced I had to postpone my decision for next two months. Whatever discussion I could have I tried my best to have with the creative team but I was not getting a solution for it. Hence, I decided to take the decision."(Photo: Instagram)

Neha Mehta wasn't happy with the way her character Anjali Taarak Mehta was shaping up in the show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Reportedly, the actress had a spat with the producers, which led to a fallout between them. Neha did not resume the shoot after the lockdown and Sunayna Fozdar has filled in her shoes. Anushka Sen was replaced with Megha Ray by the producers of the show, Apna Time Bhi Aayega. They cited Anushka's "unprofessionalism" for being the reason behind their action. In an interview, the producers shared, "We could have tolerated her tantrums, as long as it wasn’t hampering the show. However, not turning up for the shoot amounted to unprofessionalism and we decided to bring in a new actress for the part finally."(Photo: Instagram)

Saumya Tandon, who became popular as Gori Mem of 'Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai', has also left the comedy show. Her last day on the sets was on Friday (August 21, 2020). Citing her reasons, she had shared, “Well, you can say that it’s an impractical decision to quit a stable job, that too, in an established show. But, I realised that being employed and earning a regular income was not exciting enough any more. I want to do projects where there is scope for growth as an artiste. Having said that, it does not mean that 'Bhabi Ji...' did not contribute to my growth, I had a beautiful journey on the show. Tannaz Irani's exit from Apna Time Bhi Aayega also left tongues wagging. The actress said that she wasn't sent the call-time for her next day when the team shifted to another location out of Mumbai. "The production house texted everyone, enquiring whether we would be available to shoot, but without mentioning other details like accommodation and duration of the stay. Shilpa Shinde's exit from the sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain is the most controversial one till date. The actress accused the producers and the creative team of favouring another actress of the show and mentally torturing her. Shilpa also accused of her payment not being increased and glimpses of it were seen in Bigg Boss 11 between her and Vikas Gupta. The actress was slapped with a legal notice after making these allegations and was replaced by Shubhangi Atre, who has blended well with the character and has been entertaining the audience as Angoori bhabhi. Paridhi Sharma was taken aback after the news of her role coming to an end in Patiala Babes. The actress said, "I got to know about my exit only on Tuesday. In any case, I wasn’t satisfied with the way my track was shaping up. It started off as a strong and inspiring character, but the storyline digressed and my character started slipping around two months ago. I never wanted to play mother to a teenager, but I took up the show for my role. I am glad that I am not a part of the leap, as there was nothing in it for me to explore.
