Udne Ki Aasha actor Kanwar Dhillon: I am product of giving consistent performance over the years
Actor Kanwar Dhillon has worked really hard to reach where he is today. Kanwar, who is known for his good acting skills, shares his take on success. ”I have seen a lot of people for whom success goes to their head. In no time they go down hill and disappear from the scene. I personally feel success is a by-product of hard work. It will come to you if you are confined to your work and delivery. If you don’t respect your success, success won’t respect you and it’s just a matter of time that the bubble will burst. I was clear about the basics of success and I have rules that I live by. Maintaining success is the real challenge. Success will come to you when the time is right. What’s destined to work for you will work for you and one should not get too used to success and be open to failures and rise up again as that’s life.”
Kanwar is successfully playing Sachin Deshmukh in popular show Udne Ki Aasha feel everything will not consistently be the same in your life.
He adds,”The pressure after success is greater as people see you at a certain position and you are expected to deliver at the same level and you also feel the pressure of expectation. I believe in keeping a realistic approach. All your shows can’t be a blockbuster. Success makes you think a lot about what’s next but it’s always better to go with the flow. I don’t get carried away and let my work speak.”
But have there been moments where staying consistent felt more challenging than reaching a milestone? He says,”There are moments where I have been consistent and have craved to reach a milestone. I used to question myself that I have worked really harder than my other peers and have worked more years than the people who have attained success before me then why not me. You have these questions. But the game changed with Pandya Store. Since then I have started seeing things differently. The insecurity of being consistent should be there to get you going. Now success has made me wise enough to make the right choices.”
Kanwar who is in the industry for 14 years knows long term success comes with showing a wide range of performance to the industry. He ends with,”I am a product of consistent performance over time.”
