Ashish Trivedi, who made his
television debut
with the
show Udann
, was seen in the role of
Prakash. After the show went off-air in 2019, Ashish has been waiting for the right script.
On being asked about the same he says, "It’s not that I don't want to do TV. I wanted to try different mediums so I was working on it and in the meanwhile, I did a web show also. I would not call it a break because I was continuously working on my craft and getting more prepared for the
upcoming opportunities
because acting is something which is endless. You learn everyday something new and at the same time hustle for good work."
On further being asked about what type of characters he wants to play now, he says, "I am looking for lead roles for now but I also believe sometimes a character with 2 mins screen presence can create a huge impact on the audience. I have faith in my craft and I can take that chance too. If given a chance, I would like to play a cop or even an army officer. I just don't want to be just the husband material in the show. We all know that TV is a woman-dominated medium, so I want to do substantial roles where I can explore myself as an actor. For now, I’m open to everything and would like to test my versatility with every given opportunity."
Ashish shared how his lockdown went by. He said, “I took a few online workshops, recreated my hobby of reading which was lost somewhere because of work. I started writing and made a few short videos of them where I also acted. I got me time during this lockdown to work upon myself.”
