TV is no longer the only choice now, as we have the digital medium too, says Charu Asopa as she gears up to return to work

After a maternity break, TV actress Charu Asopa is all set to get back to work. The actress, who delivered her baby girl Ziana in November last year, was on a break since her daughter’s birth. Sharing more about her plans to return to work, Charu says, “Yes, now I am contemplating getting back to work. Since Ziana has completed more than seven months, I feel more confident to get back. Moreover, I can take her with me to the sets along with her nanny. During the breaks, I can look after her too. This way, my daughter will not be away from me and I can also focus on my work.”

Charu has appeared in TV shows like Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, Mere Angne Mein, Jiji Maa, Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gatha among others. Last seen in the show Kyon Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye, the actress is looking forward to doing something interesting. She says, “I am looking for something challenging as well as exciting in terms of content. Also, TV is no longer the only choice. Now as we have the digital medium too, and there is ample amount of work for everyone. It's gaining popularity because of its unique and experimental content. Moreover, saas-bahu dramas no longer excite me.”

Talking more about the major changes in the entertainment industry, she further adds, “It’s a growing market where you will find something for everyone. I am amazed to see the infinite avenues for actors in the OTT space. There is something in the pipeline, let’s see which one turns out to be the one for me.”
